Relax in the great room with its exposed hand-hewn beams, original stone walls and wooden ladder leading to what used to be the hay mow, and you will realize that this elegantly appointed bed and breakfast is actually housed in a Pennsylvania stone barn. It was built in 1809 and sits on a peaceful 48-acre farm just 15 minutes from the center of historic downtown Lancaster. The barn was lovingly and carefully renovated by the owners to preserve its unique architectural features while adding the comforts and moderns amenities that today’s guests expect.
There are four air conditioned, non-smoking guest rooms, each with its own private bath. Two rooms have fireplaces and one has a whirlpool tub. A loft sitting room, a porch overlooking the meadow, a brick terrace and gardens all entice you to sit and relax a while. A new walking trail invites you to meander along the edge of the woods and take a closer look at the native plants flourishing there. Restful surroundings with antique and locally hand crafted furnishings, comfortable beds, snacks, lavish breakfasts and convivial owners/hosts await you.
